diagnostic laboratory 

A proper diagnosis is only possible in the light of properly performed tests. Keeping this and primarily the poverty of most of the people seeking medical help Patients’ Welfare Association set up a diagnostic laboratory in 1986.
In the laboratory the routine tests which are performed are

1-Serum Creatinine
2-Serum Bilirubin
3-Serum Electrolyte
4-Blood Glucose
5-Blood Urea
6-Blood Complete Picture (CP)
7-Prothrombin Time
8-M.P. on request.
9-Liver Function Test
10-Ferritin

Each day about One Hundred and Forty Five patients benefit from the above mentioned tests. By the grace of Almighty Allah we have performed over one million tests in the last nineteen years.

Another factor which adds to the benefits of PWA’s diagnostic laboratory is that it is open during the time when the labs of Civil Hospital Karachi are close.
To enhance our services and make our work more efficient we have introduced internationally renowned highly sensitive automatic machines like Selectra E, Sysmex, Hematological, Analyzer, Inova Cl 2000, Coagulometer.
