The accurate and regular maintenance of records reflects the transparent functioning of any prestigious organization. In this respect, the department of records and registration was established during the initial years of PWA so as to keep the record of all the services rendered by our association for patient care, thus, ensuring smooth working of all its departments.

  • The department of records and registration is responsible for maintenance of records of every department of PWA i.e. drug bank, blood bank, diagnostic laboratory and follow-up clinics.
  • It also informs all those blood donors who are screened positive for HBsAg, HCV or VDRL by dispatching them screening reports. Moreover the blood donors who screen positive for HIV are informed personally and are properly counseled. This is of mutual importance, because timely diagnosis and awareness makes a world of a difference in the patients’ lives.
  • Zakat letters are dispatched before the month of Ramadan to our generous donors as a part of the Zakat campaign.
  • A great achievement of recent years is the computerization of Blood Bank records.

Therefore, the department of records and registration plays an integral role in maintaining the infrastructure of PWA.
